Calling by Scott Russell
Music by The Georgia Jays w/ Max + Maggie
The Georgia Jays are…A professional whiskey maker and a professional neurologist who are equally enamored with the old-time music of the American South.

Justin Manglitz (Fiddle, Stomping, Hollerin’) hails from Haralson County, Georgia near Tallapoosa and now lives on a farm in Franklin County. He is the Head Distiller at ASW Distillery in Atlanta.
Â
Josh Turknett (Banjo, Singing) was born and raised in Georgia, practices neurology in Decatur and makes his home in Roswell. He spends much of his time obsessing about brains and banjos, sometimes simultaneously. He is the founder of oldtimejam.com as well as the Brainjo Method of musical learning.

Scott Russell is a veteran Atlanta dance calller who was one of the founding members of the Atlanta contra dance. Equally brillliant with squares and contras, Scott is especially adept at introducing dances to folks who've never tried it before. He's also an accomplished folk musician who often plays for dances and pubs around Atlanta.

As a new fiddler, Max Godfrey played for dances with Justin in Athens and learned a whole lot from him. Max and Maggie Hall recently reconnected with the Jays at fiddle festivals, and they always jump at the opportunity to play tunes with them!Â
